Amur leopard-detailing

After yet another protracted break from this painting due to illness ive finally managed to make a start today on the more detailed layer of oil paints. This is the part i enjoy most as working with small flats, rounds and riggers i start to build fur detail on top of the base coats of oil.i tend to add another coat of base colour oil on an area and then work the detail into that wet on wet, adding a little liquin medium into the mix occasionally when i want a bit of fur to really stand out on top of previous fur work.the addition of the medium makes the paint flow more freely and combined with a rigger brush allows me to lay hair on top of already wet fur work without it blending in.
